La Réunion de Priére

This morning we had a prayer meeting in which we prayed for the needs of the YWAM base in Belgium. The real unique part about this meeting is that we actually met with that base face to face. Using Skype, the internet calling program which connects about 20 million people daily, we were able to setup a conference and do a live prayer session in which both bases could express needs and concerns and the proceed to pray directly. I was in charge of setting up the conference room and making everything on our side operational. We have a projector, a good webcam, speakers, the computer, and I used my personal microphone. It worked quite well. This was the first time I had used an entire room to do a conference call, and definitely the first time using the internet to perform international prayer. It kind of gives the idea of "worldwide prayer" a new meaning. The quality was good, and both bases sat face to face during prayer. In the end, we finished with some praise and worship, which was really unique, and seeing as we were the side leading, I'm not sure how the music sounded on the other end. The experience was pretty awesome, and it is something that bases should definitely consider for the future. It was great, because both bases introduced the teams, expressed prayer requests, prayed for the other base, and then proceeded to give feedback and encouragement to the other base. I'm sure that e-prayer does just as good as any, so why not? Check out some of the pictures.

On another note, the sirens from the nuclear plant were a once a month fire drill. So no worries there.

Au revoir
